Role Overview & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Employee Benefits Consultant, this role will be responsible for providing education and information to members on retirement plans and other products, while supervising the activities of the Retirement Consultants and ensuring quality assurance. Key deliverables include:
Providing education and information on Employee Benefits and other Products
- Providing a range of education and information on the retirement plans.
- Proactively engaging with members to explain the different retirement scheme benefits/options.
- Using a variety of tools to help members understand and select suitable benefit packages to create a positive experience and increase client satisfaction.
- Recommending options based on the clients’ best interests, needs and affordability to enhance the member’s financial wellness.
- Assisting members to complete and submit relevant paperwork and ensuring that there is compliance with legislative requirements and standards.
- Providing assistance to members on queries regarding their benefits and assisting with any updates or reviews.
- Providing in-depth analysis and data to advise the organisation on which kind of benefits it should offer to attract and retain members.
- Contributing to the development of processes and procedures to increase administrative efficiencies.
- Conducting retirement consultations and preparing and delivering pre-retirement counselling presentations to members.
Engaging with Clients in a Client-Centric Manner (Client Services)
- Providing authoritative expertise and advice to clients and stakeholders.
- Contributing to the process of negotiating objective and realistic service level agreements, monitoring appropriateness and recommending adjustments.
- Delivering on service level agreements made with clients and internal and external stakeholders in order to ensure that client expectations are managed and met.
- Participating and contributing to a culture which builds rewarding relationships, facilitates feedback and providing exceptional client service.
Contributing to the Financial Controls and Planning (Finance)
- Identifying solutions to enhance cost-effectiveness and increase operational efficiency.
- Managing financial and other company resources under your control.
- Providing input into the risk identification processes and communicating recommendations.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Providing leadership, supervision and guidance to the Retirement Consultants.
- Providing overall development, training and evaluation of the Retirement Consultants.
- Preparing, analyzing and reviewing relevant reports to be used during meetings with internal and external stakeholders, while ensuring that all reports produced are accurate and of a high quality.
- Ensuring that service standards are met at all times and the client’s service experience is enhanced.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal compliance checks.
- Keeping abreast of current trends and developments in the industry.

Experience & Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or in a related field.
- COP in Retirement Funds.
- Five years’ post qualification experience in a similar role
