Role Overview & Responsibilities
This role is responsible for coordinating the approved communications plan, policies and activities aimed at educating members and employers of the Fund. Additionally, the role will educate and support payroll teams, employers and members on payroll applications and the use of web portal and cell phone application. Key responsibilities shall include:
- Training and supporting pay points on Smart Update and the Smart claims process in addition to the web portal and cell phone application, as rolled out, or any other training that may be required.
- Assisting pay points with contribution update queries and ensuring contribution data is received on time.
- Conducting member education as per the agreed plan.
- Collaborating with management and staff in developing a communication plan that will broaden the reach and deepen the impact of member education and ensure implementation of the strategy.
- Coordinating articles for the Fund’s publications.
- Exploring means of communicating with different stakeholders of the Fund.
- Drafting member and fund communication for and updating the web portal with the latest communication.
- Facilitating market research activities aimed at determining member needs on the Fund Administration services.
- Holding member education workshops.

Experience & Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, Media Studies, Public Relations, or equivalent.
- Certificate of Proficiency in Retirement Funds.
- Minimum of four years’ post qualification experience in member education, or equivalent.
- A demonstrated knowledge and experience in fund administration.
- Knowledgeable of the laws, rules and regulations used in the administration of pension benefits.
- Must possess a valid Class B driver’s license.
